This counts for February!
Hello there everyone...so I am happy to say that we came through February with high spirits...and a slight sugar high from the Valentine candy I received from my students. The best thing about this month were the gifts that we gave to one another...warning: these are what we really wanted even if they do not fall into the V-day romantic genre. Nick has been asking for a water filter. Yep...and I have not been completely convinced. He had heard an NPR special on clean water and in order to save us from sickness, disease and cancer, he, being the hero that he is, wanted us to have one. My gift was far more selfish and not as heroic-I am now able to text! Yep that is right-I am part of the texting world! This is a gift that keeps going and going. So in all we got what we wanted and there was joy to be had all round as we drank fresh water and texted other about the good taste.

A woman's purse!
IT is said that one should not look through a woman's purse-why you may ask...well not only is it because of what is kept in the purse but the fact that EVERYTHING is kept in a woman's purse! So what happens if one looks through a woman's purse and then decides to STEAL it? Well now that I have some personal experience in this field I think I am well qualified to comment. When a woman's purse is taken she looses more then just her cards and checks, but little things that make her who she is. I lost my wallet with all cards and checks that I owned. But because of the miracle world we live in I was able to call and freeze my account, cancel any checks that were or make be used, and get credited the money that the thief spent at the gas station and Apollo burger. I am currently being sent a new card and account number as I type this. Also because my purse contained all my keys, we purchased new locks for our front door and already installed them and we were able to call a lock smith who, for a pretty penny, re-programed and made two new car keys for my car. All of this within 24 hours of the crime. So I can still go to work tomorrow on time and there will be a changing of accounts at the bank and a purchase of a new driver's license and the essentials will be back to normal. The purse and new birthday coat are gone-but there is Valentines Day coming up. The little things in the purse are not hard to replace, but right now I just miss them, like my favorite lip gloss, hand sanitizer that smelled wonderfully, sunglasses, my planner(those who know me know that this is my LIFE! goals, events and commitments are all in that little book) and my little Book of Mormon that had Nick and my engagement picture and Nicks head shot picture in it for book markers-that will be the most missed item of all. But there are positives in every negative (opposition) and I CHOOSE to focus on the positives, because I strongly believe that we CHOOSE if we are happy or sad. I personally like to be happy so I CHOOSE joy or the positives. We were not hurt in the robbery, we were able to stop the thief of money very quickly, we had so many friends help and give comfort and in the end I come home to a wonderful honest husband and can put my head down on my pillow knowing I am honest as well and have done no harm to my fellow man( at least that I know of)and the thief, that is now wearing a very stylish coat and a rocking hot red purse, doesn't have that blessing, can not lay their head down at night without a weight of guilt on him/her until repentance or a change is made-which I hope will happen for their sake. So we have many blessings and things to be thankful for. But I must say-the old saying still holds true-don't look through a woman's purse...please.

It's been a long time....
I was telling someone in a conversation how neat it is to blog. "I love it" I state, "You can express yourself, share testimonies, pictures and keep in touch with other that you love, plus" and in the middle of my persuasive campaigning for creating a new blogger...I was call out, "You...You haven't blogged in how long?" And then there was a pause. I could not answer. I do not know when the last it was that I blogged. November! I was shocked. So much has happen since the last time I blogged. In order to not feel overwhelmed in the process to update and am starting from the last seven days. So, as we near the end of January, I am shooting out a message in the ciber world of millions. We are here, loving our life and stretching as we learn and grow. A seven day update: We are both healthy- and are even exercising and eating better than before(new years resolutions)We are keeping warm and still love our house. Plus, we are recently become obsessed about a TV show, LOST. Yep have started the first series and are slowly joining the rest of America on this plane crashed journey. We are not TV watchers, but this show...if watched from the beginning...is addicting. So that is about it. I will update with pictures next time. Does anyone have a show they watch like this?

I love teaching!
I have to say that I love teaching. This year has been a great and the students I have are just wonderful! I think that the younger grades are for me. Where else can you teach, inspire, get hugs and play with puppets all day? To be honest it is hard work, I love the challenage. When they start to read, understand a concept or want to learn more about something we have be talking about...those are the moments I just love. I thought that my life would be different by the time I was 26. There are three of us, but instead of the 21 month old, I have a 21 year old living with us-the Lord works in mysterious ways. (That 21 year old is my sister)I think that is why I am teaching kindergarten-I never thought I would, but now, with no little ones at home, I really can't see myself teaching anything else-1 or 2 grade maybe, but truly I am happywith these wonderful children and learning from them as they learn form me.

I love my parents!!!
SO my parents came down for General Conference-which I needed. I missed my parents so very much, more so my mommy-heart pains! It was so great to see them again. We laughed, ate and were spiritually edified-what more could you want from a weekend!! And it would have been even better if my dear sister Jess-who I also miss dearly and I won't go into it because I will start to cry-could have been there as well with her beautiful family(I miss you Pax and handsome nephew). Funny-Mom gave me my b-day gift early and we took pictures...I thought Nick caught the moment very well. Yes ladies I now own the BBC's five hour version of Pride and Prejudice. (scream now for joy if you wish)As you can tell from my face the moment my mother showed be the gift, I was very pleased...to say the least. Yep I love my family and miss them...thankful for the holidays where I get to see them again!
